1-step vs. 2-step, and what can’t be fixed
A 1-step polish brings back gloss and removes most light swirls in a single pass. A 2-step correction compounds first, then polishes, to take out deeper defects for maximum clarity. It takes longer and removes a little more clear coat, so it is only worth it when the paint needs it.
Some scratches are too deep to polish out. If you can catch it with a fingernail, it may be through the clear coat. Landon will show you which marks will come out before he starts, and he will never take off more clear coat than your paint can spare.

Paint correction questions
How much does paint correction cost in McKinney?
1-step correction (the Platinum Polishing Package) starts at $800 for cars, $900 for small SUVs and $1,000 for large SUVs and trucks. Prices vary with paint condition; 2-step correction is quoted after inspection.
How long does paint correction take?
5 to 7 hours for the Platinum Polishing Package. A 2-step correction takes longer, and Landon will give you a time estimate after the inspection.
Will it remove every scratch?
A 1-step polish removes roughly 50 to 75% of swirls and scratches. Deeper defects may need a 2-step correction, and scratches through the clear coat cannot be polished out. Landon will tell you honestly before he starts.
Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?
Yes. A coating locks in whatever is under it, so the paint should be corrected first. Paint correction is already included in the AquaLux Ceramic Coating Package.
Where is the work done for McKinney clients?
